At least the sun shone.

Its been a really lovely day here today. So warm and balmy you'd be forgiven for thinking we were in the height of summer, or in an entirely different country. Lovely! I have a better grip on myself now and am feeling better and more in control than I was, which is always a good thing.(Phew, I hear you say!) Lucas hasn't slept much, or well today and feeding was slow today as he wasnt really interested. Not sure how to get him feeding more because he screams when you try to feed him and he doesnt want to. Though to be honest, he screams anyway. The girls worked well and everyone has gotten into Animal Crossing again so thats an all day occurrance (by the time all three have done everything they 'need' to). They have been in the garden a fair amount too and have been spotting lots of bugs. Seb is especially keen on playing in the sand pit again and everyone loves the trampoline. Dh and his new employee have been working flat out from 7.30 til 5 most days just to keep up with work and they have several big jobs over the coming weeks. He is spending the evenings visiting people to give quotes, then coming home and typing them all up. Yesterday our main pc was carted back to Currys for fixing as I was finally sick of all the blue screen errors on it. It'll be about 2 weeks before we get to see it again though so I spent tonight trying to rig the printer to my laptop so we can print. What a hassle, though I got there in the end. Today we ditched schoolwork and went to Sherborne Old Castle to meet up with friends in the morning. I bought lunch in Morrisons then went to Wincanton to see more friends in the afternoon. When your baby screams as much as Lucas does it is better for them to do it outdoors where it sounds less intense. ;) Tomorrow we are off to Glastonbury museum to learn about the Victorians - Our HE group is a bit depleted at the moment though so I hope enough people show up to run it. Looks like another gorgeous day tomorrow too so we may hang out a bit afterwards. I am considering heading to the beach at the weekend but cant decide whether it will be too crowded as, no doubt, everyone will have the same idea. Frankly its a good hours' drive to get there (our nearest are Poole or Weymouth) and I dont fancy being surrounded. On the other hand I do adore going to the beach. Oh, what to do....

  1. What to do? Next year, let me know when you're coming to Poole and I'll be there too!

Otherwise, it was busy today at Poole so tomorrow will be chaos (both car parks full by 11 o'clock - luckily we go down by bus.) Sea wasn't that warm, but both mine enjoyed it and are now gloriously shattered.

Are you honestly sure that a crying baby very little shade and an over-excited six year old trying to drown himself at regular intervals, sandwiched between 2 long car journeys, is the best way to spend your Saturday? How about a sun lounger in the garden and a paddling pool instead?
