I'm writing it down in case its a one-off but Lucas has been lovely today. He woke at 5.30 and I got up and took him downstairs. Nathan had been up all night (grrrrr!) so was there to talk to him whilst I did some housework then fed him. After his nap we went into town and I helped Seb choose Christmas presents for everyone from Poundland then it was time for the first of the dreaded jabs. I always take the kids later than recommended but Lucas is way older than the others were.
I didn't know how he'd do but apart from a little cry during the process he has been absolutely fine. The rest of the afternoon went just as well, lots of happy smiles, laughter and jolliness in between sleeping and eating then a proper sleep or two. I wish I could have videoed his laughter, its just lovely.
Tonight I'm worn out but its so been worth it. The only negative was a phone call that left me a little shocked but that's another post.
I am a very happy me tonight :)
I always innoculate much later than recommended and I'm choosey about which ones the children have, glad it went well.
ReplyDeleteGlad that part of the day went well and fingers crossed that he's turning a corner and things get easier from now on.
