Things We Did

Over the last few days there has been:

  • large scale junk modelling. Seb adores it and ever since he did some at HEY he has wanted to do it ALL the time. So far he has made a tank he can wear, a puppet theatre, a trap for his legos and a gun or ten.
  • Cooking. Emma has made cakes in particular Rocky Road that even I can eat using dark chocolate and dairy free spread. Yum! Plus Chicken noodle soup and a roast dinner.
  • Sewing. The girls have made pillows and trinkets for presents.
  • Shopping. I bought socks for little people who cannot wait until Christmas for them. Then there has been hats and gloves as the weather turns cold. The girls have bought presents for Christmas. And there was food shopping.
  • There have been friend visits too. L visited with her children which Seb loved, and we had a visit from R and her children too.
  • The girls went to visit friends near Gillingham for the day.
  • School work has been sparse (particularly from Seb) but there has been lots of practical stuff going on.
  • Lucas has been smilier than usual mostly :) but not sleeping any better yet.

  2. No one is getting much done now. Realistically, no one will either. I now understand why schools do carol services and nativity plays in these last 2 weeks of term. Forget little angels at Christmas, I've got a pair of gremlins!

  3. I know, our local school looked at the maths behind paper chains by making paper chains - oh how taxing.
