It appears that the festive season is upon us once more (Already!!!) It snuck up on us rather suddenly and Im not quite sure how. We were doing to do a craft a day this year for advent. - at least the little plan I had in my head said this was what we'd do. It doesn't seem likely somehow though; crafting and high maintenance babies do not seem to be a match made in heaven for me. *tries not to feel too jealous of AP/ baby-wearing mums who have content children AND time to do beautiful crafts*
Instead the best we can hope for this advent is an Advent Village from HERE. Some ceramic baubles, decorated candles and a Winter nature table. Anything else is a bonus which I will blog accordingly.
No women should be so perfect as to feed baby, wean baby and make lovely craft - not normal!
ReplyDeleteYep, time to cut yourself some slack.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't even started on any Christmas crafts here - I'm not sure I can face the glitter until we have a clear table (which probably wont be until the Christmas Eve panic :) )
Same here. No craft to speak of and only limited Christmas book reading and one lot of baking and I have no baby to keep me occupied. What's the betting we have shop bought mince pies yet again?

Thankyou ladies. The advent calendar is a big hit here :) The baubles are awaiting pens to colour them with and we probably wont do candles.
ReplyDeleteRuth, I have a post brewing on short-cut Christmas.
I am having shop bought mince pies, roast potatoes, brandy cream, chocolate log and, horror of horrors, I have even bought a carton of gravy. My only excuse for this shocking lack of domestic goddesshood is that I am quite attached to the little sanity I have left and the children won't notice shop bought food but will notice me screeching like a banshee and then bursting into inconsolable tears.
